Summer 2006 Session, page 13

Many of our volunteers are spending their time with little kids at childcare centers this summer. If you like children, you may want to consider working at one of these sites.

Natalie is the Incredible Exchange Volunteer working at Little Treasures Preschool this summer. She is pictured on the left with some excited children prior to a field trip to the library.

One of the child care sites that welcomes our volunteers is YWCA Spirit Valley Childcare Center. Pictured above is Mentor Liz. On the right, Volunteer Jenessa poses with a few rascals who are regulars at the Center.

Another childcare center with helpers from The Incredible Exchange is the Congdon Creek Preschool. It looks like our volunteer, Hannah, has a good time with the kids while she's volunteering!

Benedictine Health Center also has an Early Childhood Center. Marissa is pictured on the right with a baby on her lap. Directly below is a photo of Marissa and Amanda spending time with little ones in the outdoor play area.

Volunteering at a childcare center does not mean you will spend all your time with children. There is other work that needs to be done. Below right we see Amanda cutting shapes in preparation for a craft project for preschoolers. Other tasks at childcare centers include helping to set up for snacks and cleaning toys.
